Lazy Christmas....

I found this on Twitter - I'm currently searching for "Bah Humbug" in Neon Lights.  Might try EBay ....

  1. Brilliant!
Have you read John Grisham's novel Skipping Christmas? It is a very light read, but about the escalation of decoration and expectation - and funny.

  2. That is fantastic - and exactly what i should do as we are always those stinky neighbours that let the street down by not doing any lighting etc...

  3. Hi HF, I haven't read that particular John Grisham book because I don't think I associate him with being light hearted! But thanks for the recommendation!

  4. Sarah - I aim to please!

Jody - you live in America! Surely it's written into the constitution that all houses will be decorated with obscene amounts of gaudy lighting?!?

  5. I didn't realise John Grisham wrote books like that either. May take a look at Hausfrau's suggestion.
We are hopeless at Christmas lighting but I'm married to a Scotsman so the thought of all that wasted electricity might cause him untold mental harm.

  6. Hmmm I live directly opposite the church. Would a bah humbug lighting display be a bit much do we think???

  7. Trish - I'm sure the Shah has some Scottish blood as he also grumbles loudly about my draining the National Grid with a few feeble fairy lights every year!

Macy - At least the congregation might pray for your lost soul!

  8. Fab photo. I love it. I'm actually physically allergic to over-decorated houses. It screams 'chav' and 'pikey' to my understated Tunbridge Wells sensibilities.

  9. WG - so I guess you turn into Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells when faced with those over-decorated pikey palaces?!

  10. global warming, soaring energy costs - who cares when there are sparkling LED reindeer waited to be plonked outside your house next to the wheelie bin. I prefer to spend my Christmas £££s on sherry!

  11. Hi project forty and welcome to my blog - you sound like my type, if the reference to sherry is anything to go by!

  14. There is not one xmas dec up in my house yet - as none of the small people have queried it I'm going to see just how long I can go before I have to succumb to the tinsel fairy visiting ;)
